Our Review
Comfort | 5 / 5
This is an extremely comfortable bag. Not only is the down comfortable, but the ziper system makes moving and changing positions super easy. It allows for a backpacking pillow to fit nicely tucked into the head portion of the bag, and the ability to unzip your footbox, and even walk around in the bag with your feet out make this all around one of the most comfortable, if not the most comfortable bag I have ever used.
Packability | 5 / 5
Simply put, the down in this bag is incredibly. It is so warm, so comfortable, and with the compression sack it comes with, this bag packs down small for its temperature rating. Tough to beat the combination of packability, comfort, durability, and temperature rating.
Durability | 5 / 5
We haven’t had this bag for long enough to determine long term durability, but currently there is no sign of wear and tear, and that’s with heavy use. We will update this article with further information around durability. The zipper system seems like it is better than any other bag zipper system we have used. Given the construction materials, and design of zippers, this seems like a very durable sleeping bag.
Price and Value | 4 / 5
The only downside of this bag is that it is quite expensive. You are purchasing the high quality down, the great zipper features and overall design. We still give this a 4/5 because this truly is one of the best bags we have ever seen even though it is a bit more expensive than we would normally go for a bag. If you are looking for the highest quality, this is what you should go for.
Favorite Features
We love that you can unzip the footbox. For the warmer days in the summer, it adds a ton of versatility to the bag and make it not so hot on the hotter nights.
We love that this bag comes with two cases – the compression sack, and the storage case which keeps the bag uncompressed just enough for longer term storage.
The shoulder button system that allows you to sit up while still being warmed by the sleeping bag, combined with the open toe box allows for campers to literally walk around camp in their sleeping bag. It is absolutely awesome.
Recommendation and Overall Thoughts
If you are looking for the highest quality bag that combines packability, comfort, warmth, and durability, this is at the top of the market. We absolutely love how versatile this bag is, and will be using it for any nights between 20 and 75 degrees.
