Our Testing
We brought these sunglasses on Colorado 14ers, full day fishing trips, backcountry ski trips, and even to the Mediterranean sea. This testing allowed us to experience the glasses in sunny environment, after sunset, in high winds, in heat, while sitting still, and while sweating like crazy, while trail running, and more. In other words, we put them to the complete test.
A little background on our testing: We are trail runners, fisherman, hikers, skiers, bikers, and we take our nutrition, our safety, our comfort, and athletic performance very seriously. Therefore, we make sure we test all the gear we recommend thoroughly.

About RedFin
RedFin has a pretty simple story that is encapsulated in the video below. At the end of the day, RedFin set out to create the highest quality sunglasses as possible by partnering with Italian manufacturers, and Zeiss, one of the most well known, and well respected, lens manufacturers in the world. By creating and testing the highest quality frames, and lenses as possible, Redfin is fully aware that they aren’t trying to serve 100% of the sunglass market, but are trying to create a pair that is considered the best available.
In our review, we take this into account to see how well RedFin did at accomplishing this goal.

Our Review
Comfort

Testing these glasses while fly fishing in various conditions showed us how well they performed. Great visibility into the water.
Simply put, these are the most comfortable sunglasses we own. They fit well under hats, under helmets, over neck gaiters, they don’t irritate the nose, they aren’t too tight, yet they stay on even during harsh movements. Our male testers all completely loved these glasses for their comfort. Our female testers found them a little loose fitting, and therefore we recommend females, or those with smaller heads to contact RedFin to see specifically which frame will best fit them.
5/5 Rating
Lens Clarity
These lenses are incredibly clear. They are clearly high quality, and comparable to the most expensive glasses on the market. Overall, we have only great things to say about lens clarity. This was the case on multiple lens colors as well.
Yet again, a 5/5.
Field Of View
These glasses have a great field of view. The shape and lenses don’t distort in the peripherals, and they do a great job of keeping a full field of view.
Lens Options
There is just about every lens color option. So whatever your use case, you can find a color that is perfect for you.
Price & Value
These are on the higher end of performance sunglasses. The warranty, quality, lens clarity, design, and comfort all warrant this price point. These glasses are extremely high quality.
Recommendation And Overall Thoughts:
Overall, we highly recommend these glasses. They are among the highest quality, and have a great warranty that lasts a lifetime for frames.
- Great comfort
- Great lens clarity
- Tons of design and lens options
- Great look
These will be some of our most used sunglasses for long days on the water.
